I have been busy (lazy) for a while, and I haven’t been writing as much as I would love to. But I’d like to update a little on my progress on blogging.
So what I have done in the past month? Since then I have written 8 new posts, created a new Facebook group, and learned more about Google Adsense.
I have written a couple of interesting Parenting posts that have helped to increase my blog views. This particular one is quite popular, you guys should really check it out.
I have also written a few posts focusing on monetizing your blog/website as well as work from home ideas. The latest post I wrote about earning over $2300 a month using Twitter! Check it out here –>
This is my first time starting a group, and it is not easy. I have always wanting to start one, but it just never happened.
So one day, I said to myself, just do it. And I did. It’s called Online Momtrepreneur Group. But I am considering to change the name, as I would love to attract non-moms and the guys as well.
I started this group because of several reasons.
- Many blogging groups only allow bloggers to post the latest post under certain thread. When the comment list goes over 20, I doubt anyone will notice my post.
- The rules always require us to reciprocate. If I missed one, I might be banned from the group.
In short, I just feel like most groups have too many rules. But I have to acknowledge that these groups are really helpful in marketing my blog posts.
I really wanted a group who has no rules, and so I created one.
You are allowed to post as many times as you like, your product/blog post/website/services etc. I also encourage everyone to ask/advice/collaborate/network and connect. Really, I just want a less rigid group.
If you think you’re interested, join HERE! I am always welcoming new members. It’s growing slowly, but surely. The more, the better.
The more members we have, the better we are. At the end of the day, all we really want is a large audience to promote our products.
I have applied for Google Adsense and already using it for my blog.
It was quite confusing for me to paste the code on my site, but after a few tries, I got it.
I want to recommend one free plugin to you guys – the ‘Ad Inserter’ plugin. It works wonderfully in incorporating adverts throughout your blog.
You can set it to appear in every post after say 5th paragraphs, or before contents, or after contents etc. You can have around 20 different settings.
It is truly a wonderful plugin. With more adverts going on, that will help to increase my Google Adsense revenue. But be sure not to overload your site with adverts.
I have had my business Pinterest account for a while, and my pins are rich pins. But they are not attracting any organic traffic to my site.
So I am using Tailwind trial now. Anyone can sign up for a Tailwind trail, and you’ll get 100 free scheduled repins.
So far I have used up 70 of my free scheduled pins, and the results are alright.
I don’t know if it’s because my contents are not interesting enough, or Tailwind is not doing well. I don’t know.
When I finished my trial with Tailwind, I will start a trail with Boardbooster. And then, I will be able to tell if the marketing is not working, or my contents are not working.
All I can do now is to focus on writing more and making my site better with quality contents.
So what have you guys been busy doing? I hope everyone is trying hard to make a living out of blogging. I am quite motivated by these two bloggers who posted their income reports recently.
If you are a beginner blogger, you really should check them out. These are the honest, no bullshit income report for beginner bloggers.

I know we all started blogging thinking that we’ll make 6 digits eventually. But it all started slow and painfully. Endure the pain, keep striving, and you’ll get there I am sure 🙂
That’s all for now, peeps. I hope you enjoy reading.
Stay focus, stay motivated, and don’t give up!
